Dress code

The school uniform will include:
- Close-toed shoes,
- Navy, khaki, or black long pants (not jeans or cargo pants) or navy, khaki, or black skirts or shorts that reach within one inch of the knee purchased from the student's choice of vendor, and
- Any solid color collared knit shirt with the Academy logo or light blue, Lake Blue Stripe, white, or light yellow buttoned-down dress shirt or blouse in short or long sleeves with the Academy logo purchased from Lands’ End using the Academy’s preferred school number.
Appropriate outerwear (when worn in the classroom) will include:
- Blue or green sweatshirt (non-logoed or with the Academy logo),
- Blue or green jacket (non-logoed or with the Academy logo),
- Academy athletic team jacket, and
- Royal blue sweatshirts and gray hoodies with Academy logo purchased through the school.
Additional dress code requirements include the following:
- When pants or shorts are worn, the student must also wear a solid color belt. Midriffs or undergarments must not be exposed.
- Shirts must be tucked in.
- Socks, tights, or hosiery, if worn, must be plain.
- Hats (or any other head coverings) may not be worn in the school buildings at any time.
- The student's hair must be neat. The hair should be out of the student's eyes and may not be styled in a way that creates a distraction.
- Students may not wear body-piercing jewelry other than earrings. A student may wear no more than one pair of earrings.
- Students may not have visible tattoos.
- For intramural athletic functions, students may wear navy or black gym shorts or sweatpants, white or pastel colored solid knit shirts or tee shirts, and sweatshirts with the Academy logo or no printing.
- Students will wear the team uniform for athletic competitions.
- Clothing must be clean and in good repair.
- Students may not wear beards, sideburns, or mustaches.
